In some scenarios there might be a need to reconnect your AlwaysOn VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection. In most cases, it will automatically connect upon login, but in the case it does not, here are some instructions to determine if it is or is not connected and reconnect it.

If you are needing to reconnect, you first need to click on the network icon to find your VPN Connection.

If you click on the wireless or wired network icons, you will see the listing of your current networks, and the AlwaysOn VPN will be listed at the top.

Once you click on the AlwaysOn VPN it will expand as see below.

If you see that the AlwaysOn VPN is unchecked, go ahead and check connect automatically, then click connect.

In a few cases, you might also see your email address listed. This has to do with your user based certificate. Ensure that your email address is selected, then click connect.

Next, go ahead and reboot to ensure that your AlwaysOn VPN connection is set to automatically connect, and reconnects you after a reboot.
