A red X appears on multiple drive letters when working remotely

One common issue that we see is when a user is working remotely using our AlwaysOn VPN solution, they encounter a Red X on one of multiple drive letters that map to common network shares. This is an expected occurrence due to timing of the establishment of the VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection when logging in to the laptop or desktop.
To resolve the issue for the current logged in session, simply expand "This PC" and simply click on the drive letter with the red x on the drive icon. Assuming your VPN has been successfully established you will see your files populate on the right side of the file explorer window.
